World Marketing Day and why I love what I do
World Marketing Day feels like the perfect moment to pause and reflect.
Not just on marketing as an industry, but on what it really means. The people behind it, the stories it tells, and the connections it creates.
And for me, it also marks something a little more personal.
I am now 10 months into running Donna Creative...
A milestone worth celebrating
Ten months might not sound like a long time, but when you are building something from the ground up, it holds a lot.
Ten months of learning.
Ten months of conversations.
Ten months of stepping outside my comfort zone.
Ten months of helping businesses feel clearer and more confident in how they show up

When I started, I knew I loved communications and marketing. What I did not fully realise was how much I would love helping other people feel more at ease with it too.
Marketing does not have to feel overwhelming
One of the biggest things I hear from clients is that marketing feels confusing, or like something they should understand but do not quite.
That is exactly why Donna Creative exists.
Not to overcomplicate things.
Not to throw jargon around.
But to simplify, support and bring clarity.
Because when marketing makes sense, everything else becomes easier.
The work I love doing
I have had the opportunity to support businesses in a way that feels genuinely meaningful.
Through social media management, helping clients show up consistently and confidently online, without the stress of doing it all themselves.
Through copywriting, shaping messages so they feel clear, human and true to the person behind the business, whether that is website content, leaflets or social posts.
And through my workshops and mini series, I am helping non-marketers who want practical tools, structure and confidence they can actually use.
Each of these services has one thing in common. They are about making marketing feel accessible.
Why it still matters to me
Marketing is not just about visibility or selling.
At its best, it is about connection.
It is about helping people understand who you are, what you offer and why it matters.
It is about building trust over time, through clear communication and consistency.
And it is about giving business owners the confidence to talk about what they do without second guessing themselves.
That is the part I love most.
Looking ahead
Ten months in, I feel proud of what I have built so far, but even more excited about what is to come.
There are more conversations to have.
More businesses to support.
More clarity to create.
And on World Marketing Day, that feels like something worth celebrating.
Let’s keep it simple
If marketing has been sitting on your to do list, feeling heavier than it should, consider this your reminder that it does not have to be that way.
With the right support, it can feel clear, manageable and even enjoyable.
If you would like help with your social media, copywriting or getting back to marketing basics, I would love to hear from you.
Because sharing this passion with more people is exactly why I started.
